The OMAX Stereo Zoom Trinocular Microscope is a precision optical instrument engineered for professionals, hobbyists, and educators who require detailed, three-dimensional viewing of specimens too large or too opaque for standard compound microscopes. Built with a durable metal frame and a stable base, this trinocular model allows users to observe samples through two eyepieces for comfortable, fatigue-free binocular viewing while simultaneously offering a third optical port for mounting a digital camera or CCD device. This makes it especially useful for tasks like circuit board inspection, jewelry appraisal, coin and stamp examination, biological dissection, and quality control in manufacturing settings, where both live viewing and image documentation are essential.
At the heart of this microscope is its continuous zoom magnification system, which lets users smoothly transition between lower and higher magnification levels without switching objective lenses, preserving focus and orientation throughout the adjustment. Paired with high-quality, coated optical glass elements, the stereo zoom design delivers a bright, sharp, and richly detailed image with accurate color reproduction and minimal distortion. The wide field of view combined with a generous working distance beneath the objective lens gives users ample room to manipulate specimens, use tools, or perform delicate soldering and assembly work directly under magnification, a feature highly valued in electronics repair and craftsmanship applications.
Designed with practicality in mind, the OMAX stereo zoom trinocular microscope typically includes adjustable interpupillary distance and diopter settings to accommodate different users comfortably, along with sturdy focusing mechanisms that allow precise control over image clarity. Many configurations offer compatible lighting options, such as incident and transmitted illumination, to support viewing of both solid opaque objects and translucent samples. As part of the broader Microscopes & Science Kits category, this trinocular stereo microscope serves as a reliable, long-term investment for laboratories, classrooms, workshops, and inspection stations, combining ergonomic design with versatile imaging capabilities to support both routine observation and advanced photomicrography needs.

Optics are clear and bright. The only issue is the boom arm shifts slightly when I move larger objects under it, but overall very happy with the purchase.
Bought this for inspecting jewelry and coins. Image quality is impressive for the price, though focus knob feels a bit loose after months of use.
We use this in our science lab for student demonstrations. The dual lighting and zoom capability make it easy to show fine details to multiple students.
Optics are great, but I had to buy a separate adapter to fit my specific camera model to the trinocular port. Otherwise a solid microscope.
